Eternal Family Adoptions - A Covenant of Love

Welcome.
Whether you’ve been navigating infertility for years or were led here by a feeling you can’t quite explain, you’re in the right place.
Adoption is a decision rooted in hope,
but it’s also layered with complexity, questions, and effort.

In the doctrine of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, family is eternal.
The temple sealing of an adopted child is not symbolic—it’s binding.
It’s a sacred acknowledgment that this child is fully yours, in this life and the next. That understanding can bring peace and strength, especially when the process feels uncertain.

But let’s be honest, adoption isn’t just a spiritual journey.
It’s paperwork, waiting, awkward conversations, unexpected emotions, and logistics. It’s
not easy. But it’s also not something you have to figure out alone. That’s why you’re
here. That’s why we built this course.
Throughout this journey, you’ll learn about the legal process, the emotional work,
the historical context of adoption in the Church, and the ways you can prepare to raise
a child with openness, integrity, and compassion.
We won’t sugarcoat the hard parts, and we won’t overromanticize the good
parts.
You’ll get both. And hopefully, somewhere along the way, you’ll feel more
equipped, more confident, and more prepared to step into this next chapter.
Reflection Prompt
What first brought you to consider adoption?
How has that initial prompting or experience evolved since? Have you felt moments of peace or clarity?
Optional Devotional Thought
Scripture: “It is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.” – Matthew 18:14
Reminder: God has not abandoned you. Nor the child meant for your family.
